Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start my free trial?

Simply download Spiritus X from the App Store and tap "Start Free Trial" on the subscription screen. You'll have full access to all features for 3 days. Your subscription will begin after the trial ends unless you cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings on your iPhone → tap your Apple ID at the top → Subscriptions → Spiritus X → Cancel Subscription. You can cancel anytime during your trial without being charged.

Why does the app need microphone access?

The microphone is used for two purposes: detecting ambient sound levels (which contribute to word selection in Dictionary Mode) and for speech recognition in True/False Mode where you ask questions verbally.

Why does the app need motion sensor access?

Spiritus X uses your iPhone's accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer to detect environmental changes. These sensors power the Dictionary, Motion, Energy, and other investigation modes.

Does the app work in the simulator?

The app requires real device sensors to function properly. While it will run in the iOS Simulator, the sensor readings will be simulated and won't reflect real environmental data.

How does Dictionary Mode work?

Dictionary Mode maps environmental sensor readings to words from a 2,048-word vocabulary using a deterministic algorithm. The same sensor readings will always produce the same word, creating a consistent "language" for communication.

Can I export my session logs?

Yes! Go to the Log Mode tab and tap the export button to share your complete session history via email, messages, or save to files.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

On the subscription screen, tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

Is my data stored on your servers?

No. All sensor data and session logs are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit any personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
